Land of Lincoln Finished?

As many of you probably already know the Illinois non-for-profit insurance carrier Land of Lincoln has struggled to succeed since its founding.  Unfortunately, for those of you covered by Land of Lincoln may be forced to switch carriers in the near future.
 Although there has been no official word, Better Business Planning and Group Benefits Made Simple staff, have heard through direct channels that Land of Lincoln will be discontinuing operations starting January 1st, 2017. 

For companies that renewal before October 1st, 2016 you will be able to renew with Land of Lincoln, however, you may be forced to switch to a new carrier after Land of Lincoln closes down.  For those companies that renew on October 1st, 2016 or later, you will not be offered a renewal through Land of Lincoln and will have to find a carrier.
